Copywriting: TechnoServe
At TechnoServe, I contributed to a global nonprofit that harnesses the power of business to create sustainable solutions to poverty. Through strategic storytelling and copywriting, I helped spotlight the real-world impact of entrepreneurial support, agricultural innovation, and market-based development across communities around the globe.
Setup & context
As a Communications Specialist, I led TechnoServe’s blog and supported executive messaging. I collaborated with regional teams and subject matter experts to translate complex development work into clear, compelling copy.
The challenge & problem PROCESS
TechnoServe needed to convey technical program outcomes in a human-centered, engaging way. I interviewed staff and program participants, crafted stories that brought our mission to life, and produced polished written content. I also served as a writing coach to internal contributors, guiding newer staff through editorial best practices. Behind the scenes, I directed vendors and videographers, managed editorial calendars via CoSchedule, and ensured content alignment across platforms and channels.
impact & results
Through strategic copywriting and editorial oversight, I elevated the organization’s narrative voice while expanding its storytelling library. My work helped connect audiences—donors, partners, and staff—to the people and progress driving TechnoServe’s mission. From executive letters to blog stories and videos, I created content that not only informed but also inspired, helping to reinforce TechnoServe’s position as a leader in market-driven development.
