Why I Do This Work

from information to impact

As my career evolved, I moved into nonprofit, humanitarian, and mission-driven communications. Through roles with organizations including the International Rescue Committee, Human Rights Watch, TechnoServe, and Komera, I developed experience communicating complex issues ranging from refugee resettlement and global development to education, health, and community empowerment.

These experiences taught me how to translate complicated ideas into clear, understandable communication without losing the nuance, dignity, or humanity behind the work.

A Foundation in Journalism and storytelling

My career began in journalism and media, where I learned how to ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and uncover the stories that matter most. Early experiences at PBS and the Council on Foreign Relations introduced me to the power of strategic communication and reinforced a lesson that continues to guide my work today people connect with stories before they connect with statistics.

building trust through communication

Over the years, I've supported organizations through content strategy, digital storytelling, social media, video production, fundraising communications, newsletters, websites, and impact reporting.

Today, I help mission-driven organizations, purposeful businesses, and dedicated founders communicate their impact through annual reports, publications, strategic storytelling, and communications consulting.

While the tools and platforms have changed, my mission has remained the same: to help build trust, strengthen relationships, and share impactful stories.
